Description of the apartment:

Located on the 3rd floor of the 19th Century building elevated in 1830, this 40sqm (or 430 SqFt) apartment is full of charm, with a warm and intimate atmosphere.
In July 2010, together with Romain Dard, a young talented architect and interior designer awarded from the XXX School, the flat has been completely renovated.
It consists of a large living room with an open-kitchen, connected to a cosy bedroom by sliding doors and a very comfortable bathroom with a walking shower.

When we imagined its renovation, we wished to emphasize the used noble materials. Ideally South-West oriented, the apartment enjoys full natural light all day long.

The restorers were focus on giving back their original aspect to the antic beams, and its brightness to the ancient parquet. The slate tiles covering the ground in the bathroom combine to the stone from Italy for the shower give this feeling of raw and deluxe material. The shower walls offer a magnificent palette of tints between ochre and rust …

The Living Room

The main room (around 25sqm or 270 sqFt) combines a living area, a dinning space and an opened-kitchen.

The brilliant red Kitchen is fully equipped, to make your stay even more pleasant: dish-washer, induction cookers, traditional and microwave mixed oven, large fridge and freezer, not to forget a coffee machine and a toaster … Do not hesitate to bring back some fresh products from Montorgueil Street’s market to cook yourself some pleasant dishes during your stay!
For the gourmets, if you have time and like to cook, you will find in the kitchen and on the book shelves some cooking books, and some about vineyards and most famous French wines.

The Living Room will be the perfect place to relax after full days of Paris discovery. 2 comfortable club armchairs and a large sofa-bed will allow you to watch TV (large flat screen), to listen music from our personal CD selection, surf on the web or reply to your email thanks to the free WiFi connection. Have a look on the book shelves: you will find there guide books about Paris, travel magazines, restaurants guides (some of them in English): just few ideas for your next day… or your next trip to Paris. Do not hesitate to use them!

The decoration by itself is a travel invitation around the world. You will find some souvenirs from our own trips like the coffee table elephant style from Thailand, antic Chinese cabinet, framed pictures from the Cambodian Angkor Vat temples and unusual views of New York City…
Finally the Dining room corner finds its place by the windows, with a contemporary glass table. In the kitchen’s cupboards and inside the Chinese cabinet, you will find dishes, glasses, tableware, table-clothes, sets of table and candles to arrange a nice table for an intimate dinner for two or with some friends. Please use the Champagne bucket, for sparkling evenings in your Parisian apartment...

The Bedroom

The bedroom is separated from the living room by a double sliding doors. According to your humor of moment, take advantage of the full space of the apartment, or close the doors for more privacy and intimacy. Bright with its window on courtyard, the darkening curtains isolate you perfectly for long fat mornings.
Bed of 160 X 200, small reading lamps, exotic night tables and miniature paintings on rice paper from China with lively colors: everything here is another invitation to rest or future journeys!
A vast closet is at your disposal: you will find iron and ironing board there as well as a baby cot and plenty space to tidy up all your Parisian shopping purchases!

The Bathroom

We took a very special care to the arrangement and to the design of the bathroom. The walking shower is completely covered with magnificent orange reflects stones from Italy. The powerful rain shower brings you relaxation and wellness.
The glass bowl matches splendidly with the ground and the furniture covered with slate tiles. Specially ordered to a craftsman discovered at the Parisian flea market, the silver covered mirror brings a contemporary and very 'art deco' touch.
